The second round of the 2015 NFL Playoffs
is over and four teams are left. It's time for the Championship round.
The two teams to emerge victorious this weekend will be headed to Super
Bowl 50.
The New England Patriots and Denver Broncos are set to square off in the AFC Championship Game. This might be the last time we ever see Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning,
so enjoy it while it lasts. The two legendary quarterbacks are 2-2
against each other in the playoffs. It's only natural that this game
will break the tie. Brady is playing at a much higher level than Manning
at this stage in their respective careers but there's no question the
Broncos have the stronger defense. They also have home field advantage.
Despite this, the Patriots are actually favored to win.
The NFC Championship
Game features the nearly undefeated Carolina Panthers and the Arizona
Cardinals. The Panthers got up big on Seattle last week before holding
off a Seahawks comeback attempt in order to advance. Arizona, meanwhile, made it here by beating the Packers in an overtime thriller. Cam Newton versus Carson Palmer
doesn't have the "Brady vs. Manning" name power to it, but these two
quarterbacks are NFL MVP candidates based on how they played in the
regular season. Both of these teams have tough defenses so life won't be
easy on them. The Panthers have home field advantage and they're
favored to win.
Who will Eagles
fans be rooting for? I'm guessing Philadelphia fans would rather see
the Cardinals and the Patriots lose. So that would mean Panthers versus
Broncos in the Super Bowl. Does that sound good to you?
