The actress suffered some complications from chronic leukemia and died at her home in Connecticut, New York Times reported. She was diagnosed with the disease 20 years ago.
Best known from 'An Unmarried Woman' (for which she earned her first Oscar nod) Clayburgh is survived by three children.
Jill Clayburgh also played alongside Lucy Liu and Peter Krause on the ABC series 'Dirty Sexy Money' which ran for two seasons and ended last year.
