Glenn Beck's Audience targeted by UPillar

Yesterday, e-commerce website UPillar (upillar.com) launched a new nationwide ad campaign on Glenn Beck's TV and radio shows, as favorably as his website. UPillar is a website at which everybody can submit classified ads for free.

I suppose UPillar is working to compete with behemoths Craigslist and eBay. The "free" hook is an advantage over Craigslist when it comes to jobs - Craigslist grievances as much at $75 post job posting in ensured cities. One major difference you'll notice between UPillar and Craigslist is the site design. By philosophy, Craigslist's layout is super-simple, amidst hardly any Java or distracting imagery or ads. UPillar is harder on the eyes - it is much more cluttered as opposed to CL.

I don't think it's any elevated mystery why UPillar is trying to attach itself to somebody like Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck's success as an opinion-maker is due to the fact that, like it or not, he has millions of fans who hang on his every word. That makes Beck and others as if him natural pitchmen for buyer products. I can recall local right-wing DJ Howie Carr initiating his own on-air endorsements.

I don't think the fact that UPillar is making an effort to attach itself to Glenn Beck is necessarily a clue that it's a "conservative" business, but the big "Obama Socialist?" banner ad I'm looking at performs give me pause. UPillar's CEO will appear on the Glenn Beck Show today, and we'll likely get more insight from that.
